Fight to Win Pro 2

Fight to Win Pro 2 was an amazing display of grappling, showcasing some of the toughest competitors in the region.

The Cole-Train was impressive as usual, showing off his passing and top game against, John Abney, another talented competitor.  So impressed by this young man.

Fight to Win put on a professional event, a host of world class fighters were on display, and they put on a show.   Can't wait for the next one!

IBJJF San Antonio International Open Jiu Jitsu Championship

Jiu Jitsu at it’s highest level was on display this past weekend in San Antonio, TX.

Competitors train their mind and body into a weapon then come together to test their skill and strategy against the best in the world.

It’s a funny how your perception of time is affected in a competition like this.  Time seems stretched while you’re in a jiu jitsu match, 30 seconds can seem like an eternity.

At the same time it’s over in an instant, but also lasts a lifetime.

It’s an incredible sensation and if you haven’t competed before I’d suggest that it’s an interesting way to learn a lot about yourself.

My team, RPBJJ, put on a dominant performance.  In a tournament w over 600 competitors we took our team of 38 students.

Everyone fought hard and we won the Second Place Overall trophy.

I’m so proud of everyone’s hard work and effort and can’t wait to put some points up with you all again.

Huge thanks to Rodrigo Pinheiro and Pete Spratt, the coaches and staff, and all the family and friends that come out to support the team.
